When IoT Meets Cloud Computing

Fig.1. When IoT meets Cloud Computing

A fundamental feature that drives the success of the Internet of Things is cloud computing, which enables users to perform computing tasks through Internet services that have become a kind of catalyst in running Internet things in combination with computing technologies in the cloud: Internet. Things and cloud computing are now connected. These real tech technologies will bring many benefits to the next generation.

By adapting to rapid technological growth, problems such as a lack of storage, processing and access to large amounts of data can arise. Excellent innovation refers to the sharing of things and cloud computing technologies that are based on the Internet of Things. In combination, users can use powerful sensory data stream processing and new monitoring services. By providing an example, e.g. B. a sensor, where data can be uploaded and logged via cloud computing, which can then be used for monitoring and triggering by additional devices. Converting data into knowledge and consequently leads to economic and productive action.

Benefits and characteristics of the IoT Cloud:

The combination of these services offers many advantages:

1) IoT Cloud Computing offers many connectivity alternatives, which implies access to a wide area network. People use a variety of devices to restore cloud computing resources on mobile devices , Tablets, laptops. This is convenient for users, but creates the problem of the need for network access points.

2) Developers can run IoT alongside cloud computing according to user requirement. That is, it is a web service that can be accessed without special permissions or assistance, the only requirement is access to the internet.

3) Depending on their needs, users can customize the service according to their needs. Fast and flexible means expanding storage space, changing software settings and working with the number of users. With this function, a deep computing and storage capacity can be provided.

4) Cloud computing involves the pooling of resources. Influence better collaboration and create strong connections between users.

5) As the usage of some automation and IoT devices increases, security problems arise. Cloud solutions offer companies reliable verification and encryption protocols.

6) Finally, IoT cloud computing is affordable because you get exactly what you pay for for the service. Depending on usage, it can vary that the provider measures its usage statistics. A leading network of objects with IP addresses is required to establish a connection to the Internet and to business data between network components.

Difference Between IoT and Cloud Computing:

The cloud is a integrated system that supports the transmission and provision of data and files to data centers via the Internet. A large number of data and programs can be easily accessed via a central cloud system.

The IoT refers to different devices that are linked to the Internet. Both real-time and historical data are stored in the IoT. The IoT can examine and advise devices to make effective conclusion , as well as track how certain actions are working. .

Cloud computing comprises the provision of data to data centers via the Internet. IBM categorized cloud computing into six different parts:

1) Platform as a Service
2) Software as a Service
3) Infrastructure as a Service
4) Public Cloud
5) Private Cloud
6) Hybrid cloud

Combining IoT with Edge Computing -

Fig.3. IoT with Edge Computing

Edge Computing, or network edge computing, is used with IoT solutions and enables faster throughput and response times. To retrieve better response first understand how this works, imagine a large factory with lots of IoT sensors. In this situation, it makes sense to add data close to the border before sending it to the cloud for processing to avoid cloud overhead by reducing direct connections.

Data centers using this approach make data processing much faster. However, a pure edge approach will never provide a complete view of business operations. If there is no cloud solution, the factory only controls each device individually. In addition, you cannot imagine how these units work together, so that companies can only benefit from IoT developments by combining the edge and the cloud.

The Importance of cloud computing in the Internet of Things:

Cloud computing is used to improve the efficiency of daily tasks alongside the Internet of Things.

According to Amazon Web Services, there are six benefits of cloud computing:

1) You don’t have to anticipate the capacity needs of the infrastructure.
2) You save money because you only have to pay for the resources you use, the more Savings.
3) Platforms can be deployed worldwide in minutes.
4) Flexibility and speed in providing resources for developers
Therefore, the role of cloud computing in IoT is to work together to store IoT data and make it easy to access enable if required. It’s important to note that cloud computing is an easy way to move large packets of data across the internet that are generated by the IoT.

Thus, the role of cloud computing in IoT is to work together to store IoT data, providing easy access when needed. It’s important to note that cloud computing is an easy way to move large data packets across the Internet generated by the IoT.

Conclusion:

In summary, it can be said that cloud computing in combination with the Internet of Things will fundamentally change the life of mankind, especially when it comes to handling information. IoT according to the deployment model. Due to the nature of information on demand, cloud computing with internet connectivity is always available on any device. As the hybrid cloud continues to grow, many organizations are realizing its benefits and the need to implement them. Cloud computing will open up new possibilities for the IoT for a long time to come.

The three main features of the cloud listed below will make drastic change in the Internet of Things:

  1. Computing power
  2. Reliability
  3. Connectivity
